On another crazy whim, Amy and I decided to can some peaches from our tree. It was the first time for both of us, and it took a VERY long time. Our four hours of labor produced only 7 quarts of delicious peaches (split 2 ways). Hopefully next time we will be a little better at it and won't have to spend an entire afternoon in a "learning process." We did have a good time, though, and will not completely give up just yet.(Oh! And the creativity of this particular blog can be credited to my cute pregnant sister. She actually did this one.)
